From material arrival to respectful handoff
This guide explains the app's original preparation tools. Use current approved patterns and organization, donation, facility, and acceptance instructions for operational decisions.
1. Receive
The anonymous intake foldout saves only a broad color family, material group, condition, and preparation stage. The deconstruction planner covers a clean, stable surface, adult-controlled tools, methodical trim sorting, sharps counts, cleanup, and storage. Never enter donor names, family stories, infant information, hospital records, diagnoses, photographs, or messages.
2. Prepare
The Material Swatch Book keeps rough counts for reusable fabric, lace, ribbon, thread, closures, packaging, and spare tools. The Craft Night Builder helps estimate adult volunteers, stations, work blocks, breaks, role coverage, accessibility, quiet space, and cleanup. Confirm actual inventory, reservations, attendance, and assignments through the current organization process.
3. Craft
Stitch Practice contains only general, original reminders: test on scrap, secure starts, guide without pulling, inspect both sides, and request a second look. It includes no dimensions, templates, cut lines, or proprietary pattern. Bracelet Station emphasizes lidded trays, adult control, restricted access, tool counts, damaged-part removal, and loose-part review.
4. Review
Quality & Care Review checks seams, fasteners, loose parts, cleanliness, fragrance, soft surfaces, current receiving instructions, and an independent adult review. Compassion Language provides private prompts about consent, listening, not comparing experiences, avoiding promises, and protecting family privacy.
5. Pack
Packaging Table covers clean hands and surfaces, completed review, new unbranded tissue or sleeves, separately secured components, anonymous contents, and protected transport. Angel Drop Planner reminds the user to contact the receiving organization first, confirm current permission and handoff instructions, protect parcels, avoid restricted areas, and return unaccepted items to the coordinator.
Haberdashery drawer
The drawer contains an optional private reflection about the volunteer's own practice, contact-preparation steps, a user-directed text export, organization identity, erase controls, app limits, and the complete offline privacy policy. Email and export always open another app only after the user chooses the action.
A useful stopping rule
If current coordinator, facility, equipment, or safety instructions differ from a generic app reminder, stop and follow current qualified guidance. The app cannot inspect material, supervise a workstation, verify a tool, decide acceptance, or provide medical, grief, or emergency care.
